Poppy
#c23c47
Drier orange-red pop for attention states
About Poppy
Poppy is the red-orange you notice on a shipping label sticker when it's freshly printed, not sun-faded and not biting like a deeper crimson. It reads warmer and cleaner than Crimson Glow, with more orange energy and less "meeting point" restraint. Compared to Crimson Cloud, it doesn't tip hard toward red, and the saturation stays confident without feeling rushed like a brighter alert color.
I use it for product highlights in e-commerce and food and hospitality CTAs when I want a strong click target that still feels friendly and human. It's also solid for action states in consumer apps, like "start order" or "send invite," where you need urgency but not panic. In dense screens, Poppy feels like the one you reach for to keep emphasis readable on light surfaces without drifting into the harsher, deeper neighbors.
If your palette already skews hot, pair it with cooler grays or slightly desaturated neutrals so Poppy stays the focal point instead of blending into the background.
