Pinch Me
#c88ca4
Dusty midtone mauve-pink for restrained red layouts
About Pinch Me
Pinch Me sits in my head like the smear you get when you press a finger to a pale rose petal, then back off. It's noticeably lighter than the other red-family options, with a silky, rosy blush undertone that never turns fully mauve. Compared with Kiss, it feels denser and more grounded, not as airy-lipstick. Compared with Moonlight Mauve, it stays distinctly pink-warm instead of cooling into a restrained mauve hush. And compared with Primrose, it reads a touch more saturated and less dusty, so it keeps its presence without drifting coral.
I use Pinch Me when the UI needs a soft red-family accent that can still hold attention on a light surface. Think beauty and skincare checkout step highlights, appointment confirmation banners, and gentle tags in dashboards and patient portals where you want "notice me" but not "act now." It's the one you reach for for selection states, subtle focus rings, and small card headers when you want warmth that feels human.
Quirk: because it's fairly pale, it can get washed out next to deeper reds. If hierarchy matters, I bump type weight or pair it with a slightly deeper pink-red from the set.
