Red Mist

Red Mist looks like a slightly smoky flare that got disciplined, the kind of red-orange you'd see on a weathered warning label under warm overhead lights. It's not the kraft-stamp authority of Red Seal, and it doesn't read like reduced tomato broth at all. Compared to Minestrone, it feels tighter and more deliberate, with less ember softness. And against Lionheart's darker, heavier punch, this one stays more midweight and leaner, less stern, more "heat with restraint."

I use it when the UI needs attention but you don't want that deeper, wine-weight mood. Think compliance banners, logistics shipment exceptions, and e-commerce checkout alerts for items that need extra handling. It also shows up well in restaurant ordering flows when you want a confident hold or modification state over warm grays and creams, not a full-on emergency stop. This shade tends to feel warmer than pure white without going orange-syrup.

Quirk: on very bright whites it can look a bit more "misty" and muted than you expect, so I usually pair it with deeper charcoals or warm browns to keep the orange-red from fading into background clutter.
