About Quill Grey
On my monitor, Quill Grey reads like the gray you'd keep for a draft that has to look finished fast. It's noticeably cooler and more even than Chrome White, so it doesn't try to slide into beige beside warm photography or product copy. Compared to Lunar Landing and Silver Birch, it feels a step less lit and less creamy, with a calmer surface that doesn't pull attention to itself.
I reach for it when I need a neutral gray field for UI that still feels soft to the touch, especially in dashboards and data-heavy document viewers for SaaS. It also works well for brand systems in editorial publishing mockups, where you want headings to stay crisp but the page background stays quiet. Put it behind charts, tables, and long-form type and it holds steady without the faint "chalk" vibe.
One quirk: Quill Grey prefers restrained partners. Pair it with cool charcoals and clean slate accents, or warmer off-whites can nudge the whole layout toward greige.
