Argento
#cecac3
Cool silvery gray with muted softness for grids
About Argento
Argento sits in that narrow band where gray stops being a background and starts being a decision. It's lighter than Concrete but not airy like Buff It, and it doesn't have Catacomb Walls' deliberate recede. There's a flatness to it, almost chalky, that reads as restful rather than warm, which matters when you're choosing between a dozen near-identical grays and need the one that doesn't work too hard.
Use it in long-form editorial, SaaS dashboards, and content platforms where you need enough presence to structure the page but can't tolerate temperature drift. It holds type cleanly without the cool tension that Concrete brings, and it won't compete with photography the way warmer neutrals do. Financial apps, reading interfaces, minimalist layouts, this is the color that lets everything else exist without apologizing for itself.
Pair it with cool blacks and restrained accents and you're solid. The one thing to watch: push warm creams or saturated colors against it and there's no inherent sympathy between them. It's not hostile, just indifferent. Which is kind of the point.
