About Fuzzy Wuzzy

I keep running into Fuzzy Wuzzy when a designer wants orange that feels friendly on first glance, then calmer once you stare at it. It's a lighter, softer red-orange than the more blush-forward , and it doesn't have 's middle-ground gentleness. Compared to , this one reads less earthy and more "cotton candy" warm, with the saturation held back so it doesn't behave like a warning label.

I reach for it in product and commerce UI where you need a button accent that feels upbeat without stealing the whole screen. It also works well for consumer healthcare and wellness interfaces: quick actions, inline highlights, and hero overlays on bright or creamy backgrounds. Put it next to deep reds and it won't look like it's competing; put it near peach or tangerine and it stays clearly orange, not generic.

One quirk: because it's softer than its red neighbors, it can feel a bit less urgent. If you need emphasis, combine it with a darker orange or a charcoaled text tone so hierarchy stays crisp.
