Stormy Passion
#c36666
Moody rose-orange accent for contrast over neutrals
About Stormy Passion
Stormy Passion looks like a late-afternoon flare seen through light haze. It's noticeably deeper and more muted than Fuzzy Wuzzy's lighter, cotton-candy warmth, and it doesn't feel as rust-soaked as Barbecue. Compared with Her Velour, it holds onto more saturation and warmth, but the edge is still calmer, less dusty, more "weathered ember" than coated rose.
I use it when I need orange that shows up with intent without going into warning territory. Great for marketing UI callouts on commerce and subscription pages, and for product and beauty landing sections where the accent needs to feel bold in context but not shout. It also lands well in health and lifestyle apps for badges, inline highlights, and secondary buttons on cream or light sand backgrounds.
One quirk: on very neutral grays it can read a little more red than orange, so I'll pair it with a cleaner orange or a touch of peach in icons and chart accents to keep the family relationship obvious.
