Silken Pebble

Cooler, calmer silvery gray for airy UI space
About Silken Pebble
Silken Pebble reads like a light, misty gray plaster that stayed slightly cool in the room, not a crisp, dry draft. It sits in that near-neutral lane where it doesn't go creamy, and it doesn't look chalky like some softer grays. Compared to Pastel Grey, it's less "sanded concrete" and more quietly hydrated. Versus Kefir, it feels a touch cleaner and less dusty.
I use it when the UI needs breathing room but still has to feel intentionally set: dashboards for logistics and healthcare portals, admin screens with lots of metadata, and publishing tools where body copy lives next to UI chrome. In those dashboards and finance apps style layouts, it keeps charts and tables readable without nudging the whole interface toward warmth like Alaska can. It's also my go-to background for CMS templates where photos should stay in charge.
Quirk: thin lines can look a little shy, so pair it with darker text or give your borders a stronger visual step than hairline-only treatments.
