Horror Snob

Darker snob-red coral for moody warning UI
About Horror Snob
On my mockups, Horror Snob reads like a redder, more shadowed tomato-orange than the usual orange family. It's not as friendly and stop-sign warm as Cute Crab, and it doesn't keep the airy buoyancy. Compared with Blossoming Dynasty, it feels cooler in the undertone and heavier in mood, less "deliberate momentum" and more after-hours edge. And versus Firebug, the warmth is dialed toward blood-wine intensity, with less terracotta smoke and fewer ember-like concessions.
I use it for UI moments that need urgency without turning into bright fail-alert. Think messaging unread chips, account update banners, and moderation or risk-related prompts in consumer fintech and social tools. It also works well for e-commerce promo states when you want attention to land on the text fast, especially on cards and settings previews where lighter corals can look too casual.
One quirk: it can look a little tense on pure white, so I usually soften it with off-white neutrals or pair it alongside deeper oranges to keep the tone grounded.
