About Water

I'm picturing a frosted glass edge under morning light, where the blue is there but doesn't pull focus. Water lands lighter and softer than Heaven Gates, with less cyan punch, so it doesn't feel intentionally "bright." It also stays cleaner than Sprinkled With Dew, which reads more dust-wiped. Compared to Pale Sky, Water feels more water-like and less crisp, with a gentle, airy wash that sits between blue-sky and near-white without going gray.

This is the one you reach for when you want a calm field behind UI that still has to feel like blue, not an off-white backdrop. I've used it for health dashboards and patient portals, step-by-step onboarding backgrounds, and the blank space in data intake forms where the content should lead. It also works well for media thumbnails and reports in HR or education apps because the shade stays restrained while giving screens a consistent, fresh surface.

Quirk: keep your borders just a touch firmer than you think. Water is subtle, so pair it with mid blues for dividers and focus states, otherwise it can blend too easily into other pale pastels.
