Indian Mesa
#d5a193
Mesquite orange with dusty rose undertone, grounding
About Indian Mesa
Indian Mesa looks like warm terracotta that's been slightly softened by dust. It's not as peachy as Apricotta, and it doesn't carry that heavier, more settled weight that Cashmere Clay shows. Compared to Blushing Rose, it has clearer orange presence and a more grounded, less pink-leaning undertone. The lightness is moderate, so it reads as a color you can build around, not just hover near.
I use it when I need warmth with structure for product interfaces: e-commerce filters and category tiles, fintech and health onboarding screens, and dashboard accents that shouldn't feel pastel. It also holds up in editorial headers and packaging where you want the kind of orange that feels worked-in rather than delicate.
Pair it with warm creams and sandy neutrals, and it'll look intentional. Go too cool and it starts to feel flat, like the color is fighting the background instead of cooperating.
