Kefir
#d5d5ce
Milky neutral gray, warmer than Arctic, softer than Monument
About Kefir
Kefir looks like a gray plaster sample that's been lightly dusted and left to dry. It's not as close to white as Feather or Modern Monument, and it doesn't drift beige the way Alaska does. Compared with those neighbors, it feels a touch cooler and more deliberate, with low saturation that keeps it from turning into a blank page.
I like Kefir behind data-heavy SaaS screens, admin consoles, and editorial CMS pages where you want content to read clean but still feel "set," not soft. It's the background I reach for when your UI needs structure for dense tables, specs, or specs that change daily, and you don't want the gray to fight photography. Type stays crisp, charts stay readable, and that slight coolness helps dark accents look anchored.
Quirk: because it's quieter than Modern Monument and not near-white, it can make thin borders disappear unless you give them enough contrast or pair it with one steadier, darker neutral.
