Soft Pumpkin
#dc8e31
Softer pumpkin orange with mellow amber warmth
About Soft Pumpkin
I think Soft Pumpkin looks like the inside of a well-lit jar of spiced puree, not the scorch that comes after. It's noticeably softer and more light-scattering than Caramelise, which feels deeper and more brown-forward, and it stays more yellow-leaning than Golden Nugget's smoother, seed-like glow.
Compared to Hotter Butter, Soft Pumpkin dials the heat down and adds a gentler, creamy undertone. Use it for bakery and confectionery product cards where you want "fresh-from-the-kitchen" warmth without the orange punch of Hotter Butter, and without the denser, caramel edge of Caramelise. It's a great choice for hero panels, promo badges, and checkout or hospitality booking UI surfaces that need a friendly highlight that doesn't feel urgent. In motion states, it reads as soft emphasis, not attention-grabbing heat.
Pair it with charcoal, warm greige, or clean cream to keep the hue from turning flat. If you set it next to very bright yellows, it can look even quieter than you expect, which is usually exactly why it works.
