Currywurst
#ddaa33
Lighter golden-green mustard for warm, legible accents
About Currywurst
Currywurst lands like a ketchup-bright mustard glaze on the edge of a warm green, not a clean yellow and not a muted warning. On my screen it reads golden-citrus first, with a slightly orange bite that keeps it from going dry. It's also lighter and more lifted than Deadly Mustard, so it doesn't feel weighted or dusty, and it's less metallic than Brass Buttons, so it stays more like paint than hardware.
In UI and real layouts, I reach for it in status and promo chips where you want attention without slipping into Illuminate Me's more amber-lit highlight. It works well in ecommerce category badges, CPG shelf tags, and retail admin screens that sit next to greener accents but need one shade to feel "fresh" and immediate. Because it's not as amber-heavy as Illuminate Me, it stays clearer against green-heavy packaging.
Quirk: if you pair it with very cool off-whites, the orange undertone can start to look a little loud, so I'd anchor it with warmer neutrals or a deeper olive.
