Magenta Elephant
#de0170
Deep magenta red for bold interface accents
About Magenta Elephant
Magenta Elephant reads like a saturated fuchsia ink mark that landed slightly closer to red than to berry. Compared with Benevolent Pink, it has more punch and depth, not that airy, almost approachable lightness. Against Framboise, it keeps a cleaner red edge and feels less berry-cool and more decisive. And unlike Anger, it doesn't burn as hot. This one stays in the bright, high-energy lane, with magenta undertones doing the work, not aggression.
I use it in health apps, patient-facing interfaces, and fintech products when the UI needs urgency with boundaries. Think "action required" on care plans, billing status changes, verification steps, and payout hold confirmations that should feel important without tipping into a panic tone. It's the one you reach for when you want a strong accent that still reads controlled.
If your UI leans warm, it can drift toward hot pink at small sizes. Pair it with neutral grays or calm off-whites to keep the undertone from getting too friendly for the message.
