Muddy Rose
#e2beb4
Muted pink-beige undertone for subdued orange warmth
About Muddy Rose
Muddy Rose reads like a sun-warmed peach blush left to dry down on a ceramic mug, not a fresh swipe. It's light and creamy, but unlike Fatty Sashimi's smoother apricot candy warmth, this shade leans more dust-soft pink than pure peach, with a slightly tighter, less "friendly" saturation. Compared with Mellow Marrow, it holds onto a rose-leaning undertone instead of staying more apricot-forward and cushioned.
I use Muddy Rose for beauty and wellness UI cards where the background needs softness without going coral, especially in onboarding steps, product quick-views, and category tiles that sit next to confident dark copy. It also works in fashion e-commerce and lifestyle editorials where you want pastel warmth that stays readable over time. In packaging mockups, it's great for labels that need a gentler note than a bean-matte like Borlotti Bean.
Quirk: beside brighter oranges it can feel a bit muted and patient, so I like pairing it with soft charcoal, warm greige, or a slightly deeper terracotta accent to keep it from fading out.
