Buttered
#ece2b7
Warm, softly saturated butter-green for gentle panels
About Buttered
Buttered sits somewhere between cream and pale gold, but it's got enough saturation that it actually reads as a choice. It's warmer and more golden than Beurre Blanc, but it doesn't lean into the yellow the way Banana Mania does. There's intention here without the loud commitment. Put it next to Creamy Vanilla and you'll see the difference immediately, Buttered's got more color density, more presence. It doesn't whisper.
This one works on product pages, editorial layouts, and light-mode interfaces where you need warmth that doesn't feel apologetic. Pair it with charcoal or deep forest and it holds its ground without washing out. It's got enough backbone that it works solo or in groups, unlike Crème de la Crème which needs darker neighbors to prove it's actually there. Fintech dashboards, luxury brand sites, SaaS onboarding flows, anywhere you need a warm neutral that reads as deliberate rather than default.
The thing to watch: it can tip toward mustard-adjacent if you're not careful with your accent colors. Test it against your type first. But against real white or paired with deeper tones elsewhere on the page, it settles in like it was always the plan.
