In for a Penny
#ee8877
Penny-warm, lighter coral orange with clean clarity
About In for a Penny
Picture a penny dropped onto warm skin-toned paper, lit from the side. In for a Penny doesn't read like a flame or a blush. It's a softer, more powdery orange with a noticeably calmer presence, lower in intensity than Bonfire and less coral-tinted than Boho Blush.
It lands as warmth with restraint, which is why I use it in e-commerce product cards, subscription billing pages, and lifestyle app banners where you want "go ahead" without shouting. Compared to Dark Salmon Injustice, it feels less dusty and more straightforward, like the highlight on the edge of copper rather than the memory of apricot. You'll also see it work well in empty states, gentle promo badges, and secondary CTAs when the UI needs a friendly nudge.
Quick pairing note: it behaves best with cream whites, warm greiges, and charcoal for separation. Push it against cool blues and it can start to look a little flat.
