Whisky Sour
#eeaa33
Honeyed green-gold, warmer and softer than the others
About Whisky Sour
Picture a citrusy squeeze of Scotch whisky left to settle, then strained so the yellow softens. Whisky Sour sits in the Green family, but it's more amber-forward and slightly muted than Yakitori, with less of that tight, cooler highlight. Compared to Groovy Giraffe, it loses some of the sunny punch and feels closer to a mellow, bakery-bright gold than a mustard accent. It's not as close to pure yellow as Cheesy Cheetah, so it reads more grounded, with a gentle, drink-warm tone.
I use it for product tier labels and retail price badges when you want "notice me" without the sharp, toy-like heat of the brighter yellows. It also works well in CPG packaging and ecommerce UI for quality markers and status pills, especially on off-white cards where the slightly subdued amber keeps everything looking less harsh.
Quirk: because it's warm and light, it can feel a touch heavy next to very cool greens. Pair it with cream or deeper olive so it stays clean instead of turning murky.
