Hummus

Creamy, cooler hummus beige green for sidebars
About Hummus
I keep thinking of hummus bowls with a spoon that just pressed into the surface, that creamy beige-leaning green that still looks soft, not flat. Hummus is lighter than Caramel Mousse and much less dense, so it doesn't feel like it's anchoring the whole page. Compared with Honeydew Sand, it's a touch more grounded and less "sun-through-paper" airy. And unlike Durian White, it has a greener, milky undertone that reads as breakfast-tan rather than plain paper.
Use it when you want a background that stays calm but still gives UI elements some breathing room. It's a great fit for dashboards and content-heavy editorial sites where cards, tables, and margins need separation without the harshness of off-white. I reach for the one you reach for background when product detail pages are showing dense imagery, and you need the typography to hold without screaming. Pair it with deeper greens or charcoal so the undertone doesn't drift too beige under warm photography.
If your photos run very olive-heavy or very yellow, watch for a slightly muted, "dusty cream" read. A cooler grey border or type weight helps it stay crisp.
