Soufflé
#edd1a8
Brighter airy beige-green, warmer than Hummus
About Soufflé
Soufflé looks like the inside of a light custard spooned into a UI. It's softer and more buttery than the other near-off-whites, but it doesn't tip as far into golden warmth as Champagne. Compared with Durian White, it feels a little airier and less grounded, more "lifted" than paper. Compared with Hummus, it reads less green-milky and more neutral-creamy, so the beige side stays in control.
I use it when the background needs presence without pulling attention from content. It's my go-to for publishing layouts, editorial dashboards, and lifestyle apps where cards and charts should float cleanly over the field. It also behaves well behind charcoal type and darker photography, giving weight that doesn't fight the imagery. The one you reach for when you want warmer than pure white tone but not the deliberate yellow insistence of Champagne.
