About Mille-Feuille

On a spec sheet mockup, Mille-Feuille reads like a toasted pastry glaze that stayed light. It's not the deeper, golden weight of , and it doesn't go airy and custard-soft like Pastel de Nata. Instead, it sits in the family with a creamy yellow- undertone, slightly dusty at the edges, so it feels smooth rather than sticky.

I use it as a warm neutral wash for product dashboards and food and beverage interfaces when you need separation without yelling. It behaves better than the more buttery sibling () because it doesn't skew too amber, and it's cleaner than , since it has a firmer, confectioner's warmth. the one I reach for when cards, badges, and section headers need to stay readable over food photography and still feel baked-in.

Quick watch: keep an eye on saturation next to richer olives. With heavy accents, Mille-Feuille can look a touch chalky, so pair it with cream whites or a slightly darker sage to keep it grounded.
