Pastel de Nata

Soft custard green for airy, gentle highlights
About Pastel de Nata
On a tray of custard tarts, Pastel de Nata looks like the glaze has been hit with a soft light diffuser. It's not the dry, tag-like gold of Naked Noodle, and it doesn't carry the more pronounced crust warmth of Golden Churro. Instead, it lands in a lighter, pastel direction with a gentle cream-gold undertone that reads more airy than sticky.
I treat it as the one you reach for when you need a sweet highlight that still feels clean in layout. It's great for food e-comm chips, recipe cards, and loyalty or promotion badges in mobile apps where yellow has to stay readable next to photos of pastry and bakery counters. Compared to Golden Lion, it's less golden-forward and less muted-dry, so it won't feel like a crisp product sticker.
Pair it with fresh greens and oat or warm gray backgrounds; if you push it against heavy olive or charcoal, the pastel softness can flatten and look a bit hazy.
