Light neutral beige with subtle green undertone, calmer than sage

About Jakarta

Jakarta looks like a sunlit page margin that's been gently dusted with green tint. It's a touch cooler and calmer than , and it doesn't tip as far toward beige as or . The saturation stays restrained, so it reads more like a soft "background you can build on" than a creamy highlight.

I use Jakarta in places where light neutrals need to feel warmer than plain paper but still keep a green-leaning neutrality. It's my go-to on product pages with lots of white space, and on dashboards and finance apps where the UI needs to look clean next to charcoal text and deeper green controls. It also works nicely for publishing and recipe photography when you want skin tones to stay natural without pulling the whole layout toward yellow.

Quirk: pair it with warmer creams and it will feel greener in comparison. Against colder grays, it stays composed, almost as if the warmth has been softened.
