Warm White
#efebd8
Creamy light gray with gentle amber warmth
About Warm White
I keep Warm White pulled up whenever a background needs to feel paper-like but still crisp. It sits in the sweet spot between the barely-there brightness of Eggshell and the slightly more grounded presence of Labrador, with a cleaner, more settled gray undertone that doesn't tip yellow or look chalky.
Compared to Eggshell, it has a bit more body, so type doesn't feel like it's floating. Compared to Calcium Rock, it stays light and non-weighty, so you get warmth without the heavier, more noticeable gray content. I reach for this in marketing landing pages, e-commerce product imagery, and consumer mobile UI where you want a warm neutral that holds steadier across slightly different screens. It also works in packaging for food and home goods when you need warmth but don't want a tinted "cream" look.
One quirk: because it's warmer than pure white without being as soft as Eggshell, saturated colors can look a touch sharper against it. Pair it with charcoal or taupe for the most controlled contrast.
