Eggshell
#f0ead6
Warm, low-saturation gray-cream for airy layouts
About Eggshell
Eggshell sits lighter than everything around it in this family, it's almost at the edge of reading as true off-white, but there's just enough warmth baked in that it doesn't feel cool or sterile. This is the color that disappears into the room until you actually need a background that won't fight your content.
Reach for this in light-mode interfaces, editorial layouts, and minimal packaging where you want the lightest possible foundation without going full white. It's softer and more neutral than Coconut Milk, which makes it work better when your palette is already pale and you need something that won't introduce temperature confusion. Unlike Cauliflower, it has slightly more presence, there's a whisper of warmth without the muted, almost-bleached quality. Unlike Calcium Rock, there's no weight here at all.
Pair it with warm blacks and it stays invisible. The one quirk: push saturated or dark color into it and watch how much it recedes. That's not a problem, it's exactly what makes it useful, but it means this color works hardest when everything else in the layout is already pulling its weight.
