About Beluga

Beluga is what happens when you go almost all the way to white but stop just short. It's got almost no saturation left, barely a whisper of cool undertone, nothing like the greenish tint carries or the deliberate paleness of . This is the color you reach for when you want something that reads as neutral, not clinical. It sits there, doing the work, and nobody thinks twice about it.

Use it for background layers in dark mode interfaces, form fields, secondary panels in fintech dashboards, and anywhere you need maximum restraint. Healthcare platforms, SaaS tools, data-heavy applications, the places where the UI should get out of the way. It's pale enough to recede but warm enough that it doesn't feel like you're looking at the absence of color.

Pair it with cooler grays and true neutrals; it won't fight. The catch is it's light enough that contrast becomes everything. If your dark background isn't actually dark, this one flattens fast. Test it against the real blacks and near-blacks you're shipping with.
