Errigal White
#f2f2f4
Neutral pale gray with subtle warmth, sharper than Ghost White
About Errigal White
Errigal White is the one that actually looks white. Not almost-white, not near-white, it sits close enough to pure white that most people won't clock the gray in it at all. But there's a warmth underneath, just enough to keep it from reading as cold or sterile. It's got more presence than Ghost White without the purple lean that Cloud Break brings to the table.
Reach for this in interfaces where the background needs to feel clean but not clinical: SaaS dashboards, productivity tools, admin panels, anywhere the UI should stay out of the way without feeling institutional. It works for body text, form fields, secondary navigation, light mode backgrounds where you want contrast that doesn't demand attention. Financial apps, CMS platforms, any context where the gray family needs to feel trustworthy without the coldness of cooler neighbors.
Pair it with warm neutrals and it settles in quietly. Sit it next to the blue-leaning grays though, and you'll see it's got its own temperature, it won't pretend to be neutral the way Ghost White does, but it won't announce itself either.
