Light honey chartreuse for soft highlights in layouts
About Egg Toast
Egg Toast looks like the first crumb of toast under morning light, a pale yellow that stays calm and creamy instead of flashing. It's lighter and softer than Broom and Golden Ticket, so it doesn't punch through midtones. Compared with Citrus Splash, it feels less electric and less cool, with a gentler, more buttered undertone that reads friendly without going high-saturation.
I reach for Egg Toast in layouts where the yellow needs to behave: onboarding steps on consumer apps, section headers in education platforms, and product state chips in ecommerce where you want "attention" but not urgency. It also holds up well in packaging mockups and UI empty states against off-white and light grays, especially when you're pairing it with earthy greens from the same family.
One quirk: because it's so light, it can wash out next to very warm creams. If that happens, give it a slightly deeper green, charcoal, or a darker border so it keeps its shape.
