About Sunshine Mellow
Sunshine Mellow looks like a soft yellow pulled slightly toward butter, but it keeps its edge. Compared with Marigold, it's less honeyed and more dry-lantern in tone, so it doesn't read as rounded. And compared with Saffron, it's not as thread-thin or sun-spark bright, it feels more pooled light than a highlight. Relative to Amber, it's lighter and less saturated, so it won't push the page warmer the way Amber does.
For UI accents, I like using it when you need a friendly, mellow lift that still stays crisp against greens and charcoals. It works well for ecommerce deal callouts, retail promo chips, and admin highlights that sit on bright surfaces without turning into a warning. Pair it with deep green panels, cool greys, or dark navy to keep the temperature balanced.
One quirk: on cream or tan, Sunshine Mellow can feel a touch too polite. If your background is warm, add a cooler border or let it sit on a near-white field so it stays clean.
