About Saffron

Saffron reads like a saffron thread you can actually see, not a flash. It's a golden-yellow that feels lighter and more sunlit than , and it doesn't have 's honeyed softness. Compared to , it's a bit more brisk and dry in the glow, closer to a warm highlight than a mellow butter.

I use it when I need a UI accent that stays readable on white without turning into the "warning" vibe. It works well for ecommerce deal badges, dashboard KPI callouts, and recipe or cooking app step indicators where you want urgency without shouting. Next to charcoal or deep green, it pops with a clean edge. Put it beside richer oranges, though, and the undertone can start feeling narrower, so consider giving it breathing room with cream or cool grays.
