Dusty Boots
#f3c090
Dry, muted wheat tone for grounded UI
About Dusty Boots
I think of Dusty Boots as the first step out of bright banana-yellow and into something calmer, like worn suede catching morning light. It's lighter and more powdery than Buttery's sharper golden punch, and it doesn't go as peachy or resin-like as Baltic Amber. Versus Baba Ganoush, it still holds onto clearer yellow warmth, but the saturation is dialed back so it reads less like cream-clay and more like softened leather.
This is the one you reach for when you want warmth without making the UI feel loud. I use it in onboarding screens, booking and travel confirmations, and packaging systems where photos already carry the story. It also holds up in recipe and wellness interfaces because it stays friendly at a distance, not just next to text. Pair it with off-whites and light stone grays, and it keeps the page breathable.
Quick note: on very warm displays it can drift toward honey. If that's happening, counter with cooler neutrals so it doesn't feel too cozy.
