Walkie Chalkie
#faf5fa
Soft pink-lavender gray for calm, warm-neutral UI
About Walkie Chalkie
On my screen, Walkie Chalkie reads like someone gently fogged the room before the content lands. It's not "barely there" like French Porcelain, though it's still very light. The difference is that this shade has a faint chalky gray body and a cooler leaning undertone that stays visible even when you stop looking for it.
I use it for Walkie Chalkie-style surfaces where you want a soft gray foundation, not a whisper of pink or warmth. Think dashboards and finance apps where panels, tables, and empty states need to feel calm but not sterile. It works well in healthcare portals and onboarding flows, especially behind dense UI where Grim White or Strawberry Bonbon would start to nudge the mood. The one you reach for when you want subtle contrast from warmer grays, without drifting toward mauve or looking like tinted paper.
Pair with cleaner whites for headers and slightly deeper charcoal borders so the gray reads intentional, not dusty.
