Parchment
#fefcaf
Neutral parchment-gray, cooler and less creamy than nearby tones
About Parchment
I keep seeing Parchment in old packaging and scanned stationery, and it always reads a touch more "paper" than the usual creams. It's a pale gray-leaning yellow that stays calm even when the surrounding palette gets busy. Compared to Banana Milk, it has a bit more body and a slightly more deliberate undertone, not that near-white retreat. Compared with Bollywood Gold, it doesn't hold onto the bright yellow glow, it softens instead.
For real work, this is the background I reach for when a warm tone is needed, but you still want the typography to feel steady. It works well on e-commerce product detail pages, editorial landing screens, and SaaS settings where form fields and body copy need warmth without the attention-grab of a more saturated yellow. I also like it for brand decks and print mockups where you can almost feel the stock through the screen.
Quirk: pair it with cool grays and it stays matter-of-fact, but push it next to high-chroma lemon and the yellow can feel slightly muted rather than helpful.
