Pastel Red

Pastel Red always reads like a softened stoplight red, but it keeps its orange family warmth instead of sliding into true pink. Compared to Fusion Red's sharper, more action-first edge, this one feels less urgent and more gently rounded. It also sits apart from Grenadine Pink by being less pink-forward, more clearly red with an orange tug, and from Flirty Salmon by staying closer to red than peach.

I use Pastel Red when the UI needs "red" without the sharp bite: onboarding confirmations, status pills, and secondary CTA states in media admin panels and commerce dashboards. It works well on verification steps, refund alerts, and moderation queues where you want clarity, but not the full-on heat of a higher-saturation red. The vibe is calmer urgency with a light, slightly milder saturation that keeps hierarchy against mid-tone surfaces.

Quirk: it can look a bit washed next to deeper reds, so if you're pairing it in the same system, give it a darker companion or let it sit on clean, neutral panels to keep the intent crisp.
