Spätzle Yellow looks like the instant you tilt a warm butter-gold sticker under office lighting and it catches without turning soft. It's clearly yellow, but it doesn't carry the acidic brightness of Chickery Chick, and it doesn't go the friendlier, hazy route of Fuzzy Duckling. Compared to Limon, it's less lemon-snap and more direct golden punch, with a steadier temperature that stays readable over light UI surfaces.

I use it most for dashboards and finance apps where you need attention without the "too-hot highlight" feeling. Think KPI tiles, chart annotations, and status chips for billing and compliance flows. It's also great in editorial tech layouts for callout backgrounds behind short labels, because the shade stays yellow-forward instead of drifting toward a green tint. This one's the one you reach for when you want lift that feels intentional, not either pale or aggressively sunny.

Quick quirk: let it breathe with darker type or a deeper green stroke, because on busy cards it can blend into other light yellows faster than you expect.
