Fuzzy Duckling

Sunlit pale chartreuse for playful, readable highlights
About Fuzzy Duckling
I keep seeing Fuzzy Duckling in UI mockups that start too sunny and end up needing a calmer hand. It's a light, cheerful yellow, but it never turns into Corn's grounded weight. Compared with Dolly, it has a bit more punch and a softer, warmer glow instead of that near-milky green-tinge. It also avoids Crash Dummy's too-pale "looks better in context" behavior. This one holds its identity even when the surface is busy.
For product interfaces, retail POS screens, and e-commerce dashboards, Fuzzy Duckling is my go-to for welcoming moments: sale banners, filter-chip fills, and the background of success states that should feel friendly, not urgent. It works well in food and logistics apps where you want something sunny in charts and step indicators. Pair it with deeper greens or rich grays so the edges stay crisp. Think the one you reach for when you need friendly warmth that still reads as clearly yellow, not a washed-out tint.
Quirk: because it's lighter than Corn, it can get lost next to very pale yellows unless your typography contrast is set intentionally.
