Yellow Submarine
#ffff14
Softer, warmer gray-yellow highlight for midtone UI
About Yellow Submarine
Open a Figma file and drop this yellow on a dark gray toolbar. Yellow Submarine is the moment it feels playful at first glance, then you notice it's still disciplined. It reads as bright and friendly without going icy like Electric Banana, and it doesn't cut quite as hard as Bat-Signal. Compared with Electric Yellow, it carries more lemon warmth and less edge-to-edge glare. It lands softer than the sharpest signals, but it stays more present than the lighter, almost-faded options.
I use it for UI moments that need clarity with a human tone: product cards and pricing callouts in e-commerce, play-state buttons and progress milestones in media apps, and highlight accents in logistics or fintech interfaces where you want attention without sounding like an alarm. Against gray surfaces, it keeps its character and doesn't drift toward whiteness.
Quirk: because it's noticeably lighter than the busier golds, it can feel loud beside Bat-Signal. If you need hierarchy, let this be the highlight and save Bat-Signal for the single, critical action. This is the one you reach for when yellow should feel usable, not just urgent.
