Yellow
#ffff00
True bright yellow, cleaner and cooler than Bat-Signal
About Yellow
On my monitor, this yellow reads as a firm, bright signal without turning into the sharper edge of Bat-Signal or the extra-limbs-friendly warmth of Yellow Submarine. It's the straightforward kind of yellow that feels almost flatly confident: light, very saturated, and not icy, so it keeps its identity on gray.
For me, it's the yellow that works best where you want hierarchy but not alarm. Think e-commerce shipping and subscription upsell badges, fintech and retail dashboard highlights, and media app timeline markers where the UI needs to pop while staying readable. It also shows up well in analyst reports and logistics views that sit on cool gray backgrounds, because it stays warm enough to feel human but clean enough to hold small text.
Quirk: it can look loud if you stack it next to Busier gold tones, so I usually pair it with steadier neutrals and let it be the only "headline" color in a section.
