Lamb’s Wool
#ffffe3
Lemon-warm off-white that reads softer than icy grays
About Lamb’s Wool
Lamb's Wool looks like the lightest trace of paper after it's been handled, not sprayed. It sits between crisp near-white and warm cream, but unlike the broader, cleaner feel of Northern Star, this one turns slightly more yellow in the background. Compared with La Luna, it feels a touch more buttery and less colorless, while still staying very pale.
I like it for product interfaces where you want a warm-off backdrop that won't overpower cards, forms, or long reads. It's a good fit for ecommerce and subscription admin panels, retail dashboards, and HR systems that show lots of tables and filters. If your Gray family already has softer near-whites, the one you reach for when you want "clean" but not icy is this.
Quirk: because it's so lightly saturated, overly cool typography can make it seem even more yellow. Pair it with neutral grays and it stays balanced.
