Rare Blue

Rare Blue looks like a clean streak of cobalt dropped into a purple night, then slightly brightened without turning neon. Compared to Magic Ink, it doesn't feel ink-heavy or print-press controlled, and it loses that deeper blue-purple steadiness in favor of a more lifted, open glow. Compared to C64 Blue, it's lighter and less densely saturated, so it won't pull focus the same heavy way. And compared to Meteor Shower, it stays cooler and bluer at the core, with less of that violet flare heat.

I use Rare Blue when UI needs blue clarity but still reads "Purple family," especially in dashboards and finance apps where the highlight has to feel crisp, not urgent. It's great for link states, focus rings, and active controls in dark interfaces for creative platforms, video post, and live editing panels. The tone feels steady on motion-heavy screens because it's bright enough to separate states, but not loud enough to act like a warning.

Pair it with soft neutrals and a touch of cool gray, and keep your pink accents minimal, or it starts drifting toward generic electric violet.
