About Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw reads like a clean night stain, not a wall of near-black. Where Alone in the almost vanishes, this keeps its purple identity solid, with a deeper, ink-bright body and a slightly more grounded violet undertone. It also avoids the icy push of and doesn't turn into the more fully violet, lifted of .

I use it when I need dashboards and finance apps to feel deliberate but not clinical: primary headers, active tab bars, focused card containers, and dense table shells where the UI shouldn't look bruised or bluish. It's the one you reach for when you want contrast to land crisp against cool grays, and you don't want the selected state to drift toward blue-cyan. Pair it with charcoal neutrals and restrained lavender or slate accents for a consistent "purple-first" look.

Quirk: it can feel a bit severe next to warm creams or sandpaper beiges, because its undertone doesn't negotiate well with warmth.
