Dark Soul

Muted deep violet-blue for shadowed, grounded UI
About Dark Soul
On my screen, Dark Soul reads like a deep purple that hasn't fully darkened into shadow yet. It's cooler than most purple midtones, but it doesn't have that blue-steel snap of Fibonacci Blue. And unlike Black Sea Night, it holds onto color, so it feels like ink with weight rather than ink that disappears.
I treat it as a controlled, slightly lower-value purple when I need purple identity without the louder, more present feel of Deep Sea Nightmare. It's my go-to for dashboards and finance apps when a secondary highlight needs to stay legible on dark gray without glowing. You'll also see it work well in healthcare UI for status badges and quiet action affordances where you want the one you reach for to feel composed, not clinical.
Pair it with cool neutrals and low-contrast surfaces. If you drop warm creams or caramel grays next to it, the undertone can flatten and start looking muddy.
