Space Cadet
#1d2951
Space-cadet indigo violet, cooler and deeper than nearby
About Space Cadet
Space Cadet looks like purple that's been pushed toward night without going fully blue, like a deep ink mixed with a faint red-lilac undertone. On my monitor it reads a touch warmer and more muted than Mythical Night, and it doesn't feel as heavy or near-black as Dark Soul.
I use it when the UI needs dashboards and finance apps energy but not the blue snap of Fibonacci Blue. Space Cadet is my the one you reach for shade for selection states, active tab headers, and focus rings on dark gray surfaces where you want the purple to stay clearly purple, not navy-cold. In healthcare and fintech admin screens it also works for alert categories and "primary" link treatments that should feel assured, not glowing.
Pair it with cooler neutrals and restraint. Put it next to caramel accents and the undertone can turn dull fast, especially on small text and thin borders.
