Spacescape

Near-black violet for high-contrast spaces
About Spacescape
Spacescape reads like a deep screen-glow purple that stays disciplined: the kind of shade you see on a dim interface right after the room lights go down. Compared with Fly-by-Night, it's not quite as "too-purple" and dark, and it feels less like a bright shadow. Versus Pāua, it loses that shell-like pearly lift and turns more velvety. And against Azulado, it comes across cooler and heavier, more surface than signal.
I use Spacescape for secondary UI surfaces when you want purple presence without that lighter, more "alive" mid tone. It's especially handy in dashboards and finance apps for table headers, container panels, and inactive chips where you still need hierarchy. In product settings screens for fintech and analytics tools, it helps focus rings and selected rows read as purple, not just tinted gray.
Quirk: if your background is very black or very near-navy, Spacescape can flatten visually, so pair it with crisp text colors and keep your accent states slightly brighter than the base.
