Pool Water
#2188ff
Bright cool blue-purple for crisp accents and links
About Pool Water
Picture a pool lane at noon, where the water isn't cobalt or sky-blue, it's got a cool purple tint trapped in the glare. Pool Water lands in that in-between zone: lighter than deep violets, but more saturated and more "water-slick" than the softer Blue Öyster Cult. Next to Azure, it reads less like pure blue and more like blue that pulled a purple undertone along with it.
I use Pool Water for interfaces that feel fresh but not electric, especially in UI where you want motion-ready emphasis, like dashboards and finance apps that need clarity without the cyan-bright punch of Azure. It also works well in SaaS settings for chart accents, selection states, and interactive tiles on light gray or tinted surfaces where Skinny Jeans would tip too crisp and blue.
One quirk: it can look slightly washed if you pair it with very pale, neutral whites. Give it a mid-tone background or a slightly deeper violet companion so the undertone stays readable.
