Dark Prom Queen

About Dark Prom Queen
It's the kind of dark that looks like the lights just dimmed behind a velvet curtain. Dark Prom Queen lands in the deep pink family, but it's cool, shadowy plum-pink instead of reading as bruise-purple or almost-black. Compared with Dark Purple, it's less grounded and more magenta-leaning, and it won't feel as ink-silent as Black Sabbath. Versus Dark Sanctuary, it's darker and quieter, with less "ink-smudge authority" and more velvety absorption.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when I want a selected state or focus ring that feels intentional, not loud, especially over near-black panels. It also works in editorial CMS side rails, membership settings, and admin tables where small emphasis needs to stay readable without pulling the whole UI toward mauve.
Pair it with charcoal, deep plum, and muted rose-gray text so it keeps its cool undertone. If you bring in warm neutrals, the darkness turns flatter and starts drifting toward the other pink purples.
