Fading Horizon
#442266
Mid-dark aubergine violet with softer, fading depth
About Fading Horizon
On a dark UI mock, Fading Horizon reads like a purple that's been softened at the edges. It doesn't feel airy and navigational like Galactic Compass, and it's not as ink-blue heavy as Galactic Civilization. What you notice first is the calm, mid-depth presence, plus a touch more violet warmth than Her Highness, without going navy.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when selection states, badges, and section headers need to feel defined but not command-heavy. It works well in healthcare portals and productivity dashboards where you want the primary action to be clearly designated while staying easier on the eyes than the more saturated, denser options. In media products, it's a good fit for overlay chrome that should look polished, not night-dark.
Pair it with soft whites or cool grays, but avoid very blue purples next to it or the tone can flatten and lose its distinct violet warmth.
