Wonka Purple
#4a2559
Deep warm violet for high-contrast accents
About Wonka Purple
Wonka Purple feels like a candy-purple cast on a wardrobe swatch, but with a denser, duskier body than the magenta-leaning dress look of Elegant Purple Gown. It's less "velour plush" than Purple Velour, too. And compared to Murasaki, it sits slightly deeper and more grounded, with a firmer grip on the violet side rather than that mid-depth plum softness.
In UI, it's my the one you reach for when you need a primary purple that stays clearly purple without slipping into authority-dark. Think streaming media portals for selected states, e-commerce admin for confirm and highlight chips, and creator dashboards where hover and focus need to read intentional, not flirtatiously pink. It behaves well next to warmer neutrals and soft creams, and you'll notice it holds its mood better when paired with cool grays than Murasaki does.
Quick quirk: put it near very blue purples and it will look more "sweet violet" than "inky," so balance with charcoal or cocoa tones if you don't want it to feel too candy-coated.
