Freefall

Moody deep violet-gray for structured sidebars
About Freefall
Freefall has the look of a purple that's lost some density, like light hitting violet glass at the exact moment it stops looking glossy and starts reading matte. It sits lighter than Berry Jam's dusty, warm depth, and it feels less heavy than Heavy Violet's structured late-night panel tone. Compared to Freshly Purpleized, it keeps a steadier purple identity instead of turning airy and forward.
I use it when the UI needs purple presence without sounding earnest or weighty. Think music apps and creator dashboards for hover states, active highlights, and progress accents where you want clarity over drama. It also works well in editorial interfaces as a secondary action or selection tint, staying purple-forward while still feeling calm next to grays and off-whites. It's the one you reach for when purple presence without the weight is the goal, especially in panels that also feature cool blues.
One quirk: on very dark backgrounds it can flatten a bit, so pair it with a slightly deeper purple to keep the hierarchy crisp.
